Saved Game

A file or other storage method that keeps track of where you’re at in a game in non-volatile memory. This means you can turn off your game system and turn it back on later, loading the saved game to keep playing from that point. It’s also handy for saving right before a tough part, so if your character gets taken out, you can start again without any penalties.
